Scribbly Bird Ornaments

Sorry for the long break.  I have been sick as a dog.  I never knew a person could sleep so much and still be tired. So after many trips to the doctor I am hoping to be on the right side of this darn cold.

I am co-hosting an ornament swap on Instagram and I decided to send a little something to each of the participants.  I don't want to post what I made for my partner yet since we haven't officially posted our swaps yet.  Once I do I will be sure to share.
But I will show you what I made a like thank you gifts for all the girls that participated.  I bought these great wooden tags at Joann's on sale with the intent to alter them.  Since I had a bunch to make I wanted to do them similar, but not exactly the same.

I just love the Scribbly Bird stamp set from Dina Wakley.  I saw them on the Ranger ink site with some glittered wings and party hats.  I am a sucker for a good party hat.  I decided this was what I was going to make.

This one is my favorite.  I kept him for myself.

I melted Perler beads in the oven to made the little peppermints.  Aren't they the cutest things ever?!

I made over a dozen of them. Some have chit chat stickers on them.  Others I used rub ons to decorate them.

I just think they are adorable.  I hope the girls like them just as much.
Here is how I packaged them up.
What have you been crafting?
Jess

    1. Thanks Brenda. The peppermints were a lot of work, but worth it. I think I made several hundred when it was all said and done!
